With the current cut throat state of PV manufacturing, innovation and efficiency is the only way to survive. In keeping up with our high standards of innovation, we continually monitor industry leading manufacturers for new product.
Canadian Solar, a leading PV manufacturer, has brought to market a OEM PV module with a factory mounted micro-inverter. Now, details are still not available (specs, type of "trunk cable", etc), so we don't have any specifics. So, it is yet to be seen whether this product is going to be a more cost effective route vs. equiping any type of PV module with a third party micro-inverter. But, this type of innovation is a step in the right direction!
As of now, Sunfind Solar Products does not utilize Canadian Solar PV modules, but this product may just be innovative enough for us to start doing so. Canadian Solar is committing to a 2013 release date, so once the product is officially launched, we will provide more information.
