Wow, the bleeding continues within the PV industry. With the pricing of solar PV cells/modules being so drastically reduced over the last three years, the pricing pressure is now spilling over onto the balance-of-system manufacturers, such as: inverter manufacturers, disconnect manufacturers, battery manufacturers, mount manufacturers, etc.

With the current industry turmoil, which is predicted to last into 2014, the industry has highlighted the importance of choosing a manufacturer(s) and supplier(s) that are well positioned and will survive the industry changes. As a PV supplier, over the last couple of years, we have seen end users that are now without support, both from a technical and warranty standpoint, becase their manufacturer of choice is no longer operating.
Purchasing a PV system is a major decion, from both a financial and technical standpint. It is extremely important to do your research and secure a supplier that is both competent and secure, which means they will be around long into the future.
